Mimosa graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, majoring in Hearing and Speech. She then earned a Master’s degree in Educational Counselling with distinction from the Education University of Hong Kong. Mimosa is a certified play therapist, a certified counsellor and a certified autism specialist. She currently provides services in children's residential homes under a non-profit organization, as well as in private child development center.
Mimosa has over ten years of experience in behavioral therapy for children with special educational needs, including those with ASD and ADHD. She has worked with children who experience a range of behavioral and emotional difficulties including school avoidance, low self-esteem, depression and anxiety disorders, as well as those facing various challenges or crises due to family issues such as abuse, family breakdown and parental illness.
Mimosa is passionate about enhancing children's mental health and therefore dedicated to play therapy. She emphasizes each child's uniqueness and believes that with the right support, every child can shine. Additionally, she works closely with parents, as she believes that parental involvement is essential for a child's growth. She hopes to apply her expertise and passion to help more families and children in need, so that every child can flourish in a safe and nurturing environment.
