Everyone can try Expressive Arts Therapy (EXAT) for different needs. Everyone deserves a more healthy and happy life. We focus on the art-making process instead of the result, no one will be judged. We encourage the service users to express and explore their feelings through different ways. More importantly, to develop a trustworthy relationship and to walk with them throughout the whole therapy process.
The therapeutic objectives and session plans are based on the specific needs of each client. The Arts therapist will provide the service user a safe and comfortable environment to express, the therapist will walk along with you, a positive therapeutic relationship will be built. Based on a safe and supportive environment, therapist will work one-to-one closely with the service user. Therapist will set goals with the user, provide customized therapy sessions, conducted on-going assessment and evaluations. Each session will be carefully planned and designed. The duration of a session will generally be around 60-90 minutes.
The registered Arts therapist (Expressive arts) are governed by ‘the Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics’ of the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapy Association (ANZACATA).
